The ResMed Lumis 100 VPAP ST BiPAP Machine is a non-invasive ventilator designed to treat sleep apnea and related respiratory conditions. It offers spontaneous/timed (S/T) mode therapy, delivering two levels of air pressure: a higher pressure during inhalation (IPAP) and a lower pressure during exhalation (EPAP).
This device is equipped with advanced features such as an integrated humidifier, built-in wireless communications, and an Easy-Breathe motor, ensuring optimal comfort and efficacy during therapy. It also includes an Intelligent Backup Rate (iBR) system, which provides backup breaths only when needed, such as during apneas or when the patient shows a lack of effort, avoiding unnecessary intervention during pauses caused by coughing or sighing.
